Hibernation. In animals, particularly bears, it is when it goes to sleep for a long time, in the winter. This is due to the lack of food available during that time. To conserve energy, the metabolism drops, and the animal rests until a time where there is a more abundant supply of helpless creatures. There is no theory of "hibernation", there is only fact. It's not something we "think" happens, its something we know happens.
As for my disappearance in this ole-blog-o-mine, it was the other way around. I needed to wake from a very long slumber, use my energy for something else other than... (more)

Southland Tales
a mishmash of literary citations, interpolated music videos, and movie references. Its mode is high-octane sci-fi social satire thick with drugs, paranoia, and time-travel metaphysics. It's filled with throaway gags and trippy special effects.
Those hipsters who saw the cult-classic Donnie Darko will be thrilled to know that its director Richard Kelly premiered the much awaited follow-up, Southland Tales. The film was in competition at the 2006 Cannes Film Festival with another great director Sophia Coppola for Marie-Antoinette, a Kirsten Dunst movie
The film will tell... (more)

Im now obsessing on the new Mac Book. Last May 16, Apple unveiled the newly designed Mac Book, the world's most advanced consumer notebook. It's either in glossy black or white. Probably like the Toshiba Quosmio screens, very nice and vivid for DVD viewing but I think at certain angles the glare can be annoying. I wished they tried a matte-finished. You can only get the black in the highest spec though. Not available in the lower configurations... it seems like there is a bit of a premium on the black. I never been this excited since I first saw the Mac Mini. I'm back to happy meals... (more)

There was a man drowning in the vast ocean. There were no signs of a dryland nor of rescue. Days and nights passed he kept himself afloat. His body is failing and his spirit wearing but the ocean remains unforgiving. There were times he wishes he'd be swallowed by the sea or torn by the waves just to end his torment. By the time that he almost had given up he saw a distant light. It was all he needed, a guiding light. As he drew closer he realized it wasn't just a light but a shelter. The man found a beacon.
To a friend who unselfishly shared himself to me.

I dont want anymore to fall on pretense. I know I'm both strong and weak. It's true that yourself is your own worst enemy and everyday we have to battle our demons. It's one thing to recognize them and another thing to fight them. I say wherever you are right now you need a great amount of strength. Those who are weak will be their own prey.
Is this gibberish?

Ain't Love grand? Not for Tristan + Isolde. The movie's romance might not have swept me off my feet but James Franco is a treat. I saw some of his indie movies and he's a young Johnny Depp. I know that he's the only non-Brit that was casted for this movie, bloody mate, the guy is awesome and he has grown LOL. And did I say I love the poster, uber-cool.
